Find the Right CPR Training Course

The first step in getting CPR certified is to find an accredited training program. There are many different organizations that offer CPR training, so it is important to do your research and find one that is reputable. Once you have found a program that you are comfortable with, you will need to register for a class.

The Time Frame

Most CPR classes will last for about four hours. During this time, you will be taught the basic techniques of CPR. You will also be given a chance to practice these techniques on mannequins. Once you have completed the class, you will be given a test. If you pass the test, you will be awarded your CPR certification.

Receiving Your Certification

After you have successfully completed a CPR training course, you will be given a certification card. This card is valid for a set time frame but can be renewed by taking another CPR class in the future. It’s important to keep your certification up to date, as the techniques for CPR can change over time.
